School times
Infants: 9.20am -2pm
Other classes: 9.20am - 3pm
Please endeavour to have your child on time each day to limit class disruptions.
Parents looking to take their child our during the day must sign in and out in the office.
Pupils are not supervised before 9.20am or after 3.00pm
School Uniforms
The correct school uniform must be worn at all times. This consists of Red crested jumper, white shirt or blouse, Navy skirt/trousers/tracksuit bottoms/pinafore. The uniform can be purchased from G & T Drapery, Patrick St., Tullamore or Gallant Embroidery, Mucklagh Tel: 9321486
Appointments
Parents wishing to meet teachers must first make an appointment with the office. Parents are not permitted to call unannounced at a class door without a prior appointment.

The school rules are documented in the school homework journal. In September these should be read with your child and signed by parents.

Homework
Suitable homework is normally given 4 nights a week. Fridays usually being 'free'. Pupils from 1st class upwards should have a school journal specifically for recording the homework each afternoon. The notebook can also serve as an excellent medium of written communication for messages from home to school or vice versa.
Absences
A note stating your childs absence from school is required. From 1st-6th class this can be done through the homework journal. Parents of those in the infant classes, can send a note to the class teacher.
Parking
A circular parking system is in place to limit traffic jams and maximise safety. The church carpark can be used by parents. Please do not park on area reserved for buses. Parking inside the school yard is reserved for members of staff only. Pedestrians should not cross the yard on entering or leaving the school. There are 2 pedestrian gates, which provide safer access.
Healthy eating
A healthy lunch policy is in place in the school. Parents are earnestly requested to adhere to this policy when preparing childrens' lunches.
